Mt. Spokane is the closest ski mountain to Spokane, only about an hour’ drive from downtown. The Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park is owned and operated by skiers and riders for skiers and riders. As a non-profit organization, all the money goes back into your mountain.
In the summertime, Mt. Spokane is a great place for hiking and mountain bike riding, too.

Located at the base of the Selkirk Mountains, Schweitzer Mountain Resort overlooks the city of Sandpoint, Idaho, and Lake Pend Oreille. Schweitzer has 2900 acres of skiable terrain, including wide open bowls and graded runs.
Schweitzer has a ten year plan to build a comprehensive village environment, upgraded facilities, additional lodging and more mountain offerings.

Lookout Pass incorporates two states on one mountain. The summit chair lies on the Idaho side where, at the top, you can just drop down and ski into Montana. Lookout Pass is very accessible with a four lane expressway right into their parking lot.
Snowboarders can ski a full terrain park with huge launches, rails, banks and a 1,111-foot long quarter pipe.
During the summer, Lookout Pass is home to the nationally acclaimed "Route of the Hiawatha" mountain bike and hiking trail.

An easy one-hour drive from downtown Spokane, Silver Mountain is located in the Panhandle of Idaho and has some of the best skiing around with two mountains, 67 named trails and a high speed gondola ride right to the top.
